Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of "ChoreNote" ("the App") provided by AINCLAD Inc. ("we" or "the Company"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the App.

Article 1 (Scope)

These Terms apply to all relationships between you and the Company regarding the use of the App.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

Article 2 (Service Description)

The App is a service for managing household chores and sharing tasks among group members. Main features include:

  • Creating, editing, and completing chore tasks
  • Automatic generation of recurring tasks
  • Task sharing among group members
  • Visualization of achievement records
  • Reminders via push notifications

Article 3 (Account)

3.1 Account Creation

The App can be used without account registration. However, email registration is required for data backup and synchronization across multiple devices.

3.2 Account Management

You are responsible for properly managing your account information. The Company is not liable for any damages resulting from inadequate management or unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the settings within the App. Once deleted, all associated data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Article 4 (Fees)

4.1 Free and Premium Plans

Basic features of the App are available for free. A "Premium Plan" (paid) is also available for additional features.

4.2 Free Plan Limitations

The free plan has the following limitations:

  • Some recurring settings (monthly/yearly) are unavailable
  • Theme color selection is unavailable
  • Advertisements are displayed

4.3 Premium Plan Pricing

The Premium Plan is offered as a monthly or annual subscription. Prices are as displayed on the App's page in the App Store.

4.4 Group Usage

When using the group feature, if any one member of the group has a Premium subscription, all group members can access Premium features.

4.5 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

4.6 Cancellation

To cancel your subscription, go to iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. You cannot cancel from within the App.

Important: Logging out, deleting your account, or uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel your subscription. To stop billing, you must cancel through the App Store settings.

4.7 Refunds

Subscription refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy. Please contact Apple for refund requests.

Article 5 (Prohibited Activities)

You must not engage in the following activities when using the App:

  • Violating laws or public order
  • Criminal activities
  • Infringing on intellectual property rights, privacy, or other rights of the Company or third parties
  • Placing excessive load on the App's servers or network
  • Interfering with the operation of the App
  • Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
  • Impersonating other users
  • Decompiling, reverse engineering, or disassembling the App
  • Providing benefits to antisocial forces
  • Other activities deemed inappropriate by the Company

Article 6 (Intellectual Property)

All intellectual property rights related to the App and its content (text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, software, etc.) belong to the Company or authorized third parties.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, or otherwise use these materials without prior written consent from the Company.

Article 7 (User Content)

You retain ownership of content you input into the App, such as tasks and notes ("User Content").

The Company may use User Content to the extent necessary for providing and improving the App's services. However, we will not publish it in a personally identifiable manner.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

8.1 Service Warranty

The Company does not guarantee that the App will always function properly, be free of errors or bugs, be free of security defects, or be suitable for your specific purposes. The App is provided "as is."

8.2 Data Warranty

While the Company makes best efforts regarding data storage, backup, and recovery, we are not liable for data loss, corruption, or leakage. We recommend you backup important data yourself.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

The Company is not liable for damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence. If the Company is liable, compensation is limited to the total fees you have paid to the Company.

Article 9 (Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination)

9.1 Service Changes

The Company may change the content of the App without prior notice to you.

9.2 Service Suspension

The Company may suspend all or part of the App in the following cases:

  • System maintenance, inspection, or updates
  • Force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, power outages, or natural disasters
  • Other cases where the Company determines suspension is necessary

9.3 Service Termination

The Company may terminate the App by notifying you at least 30 days in advance.

Article 10 (Changes to Terms)

The Company may change these Terms without prior notice when deemed necessary. Revised Terms become effective upon posting within the App or on our website.

We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by Japanese law.

Any disputes arising from the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

Article 12 (Severability)

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
