AINCLAD Inc. ("we" or "the Company") respects the privacy of users of "ChoreNote" ("the App") and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information through the App:
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Username, email address (when using email authentication)
- Profile Information: Icon color
- Task Information: Chore task titles, notes, due dates, recurring settings, completion status
- Group Information: Group name, member information
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Device token for push notifications
- Usage Data: Task completion records, achievement rates
- Diagnostic Information: Crash logs, stack traces, device state (memory usage, OS version, etc.)
1.3 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect the following information:
- Location data
- Contacts
- Photos/Camera access
- Health data
- Calendar information
2. Purpose of Information Use
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- Providing App services and user authentication
- Providing task management features
- Task sharing among group members
- Delivering push notifications (reminders, task completion notifications, appreciation notifications)
- Service improvement and new feature development
- Improving app stability (crash analysis and fixes)
- Responding to inquiries
- Delivering advertisements (for free plan users)
3. Information Sharing
3.1 Sharing with Group Members
When using the group feature, the following information is shared among group members:
- Username and icon color
- Task information within the group (title, assignee, completion status)
- Task completion records (who completed what and when)
- Appreciation records sent and received
3.2 Sharing with Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Firebase (Google LLC)

- Cloud Firestore: Data storage and synchronization
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notification delivery

For free plan users, we use Google AdMob for ad delivery. AdMob may collect device identifiers and other information for ad personalization.

We may disclose your information when required by law or in response to lawful requests from courts or government agencies.
4. Data Storage
4.1 Storage Location
- Local Storage: On your device (Core Data)
- Cloud Storage: Google Cloud Platform (Japan region: asia-northeast1)
4.2 Retention Period
- Account and task information: Stored until account deletion
- Appreciation data: Automatically deleted after 30 days
- Group invitation codes: Valid for 24 hours
5. Data Security
We implement the following security measures to protect your information:
- Secure authentication via Firebase Authentication
- Authorization using custom tokens
- Access control through Firestore security rules
- Encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encrypted data storage by Google Cloud
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
6.1 Right to Access
You can view your profile information, task information, and achievement records within the App.
6.2 Right to Rectification
You can change your profile information such as username and icon color within the App.
6.3 Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten)
You can completely delete your account and associated data from Settings > Delete Account in the App. Data deleted includes:
- Account information (username, email address)
- Tasks you created (personal tasks only)
- Achievement records
- Appreciation records sent and received
*Tasks shared within a group are retained for other members to continue using.
6.4 Right to Data Portability
If you wish to export your data, please contact us through the contact form.
6.5 Withdrawal of Consent
You can change notification settings within the App at any time. Ad personalization can be managed through device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
7. Advertising and Tracking
7.1 Ad Delivery
Banner ads are displayed for free plan users. Upgrading to the Premium Plan removes ads.
7.2 App Tracking Transparency
On iOS 14.5 and later, we request permission for tracking for ad personalization when the app launches. You can use all features of the App regardless of whether you allow tracking.
7.3 Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to improve our services. Firebase Analytics collects app usage data (screen transitions, feature usage frequency, etc.), but does not send personally identifiable information such as email addresses to Firebase Analytics.

7.4 Crash Reports
We use Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability. When the app crashes, the following information is automatically collected:
- Crash logs (stack traces)
- Device information (model, OS version)
- App state (memory usage, etc.)
- User identifier (anonymous ID)
This information is used solely to identify and fix crash causes, not to identify individuals.
8. Children's Privacy
The App can be used by the whole family, including children, under parental supervision. If children under 13 use the App, parents should create and manage the account and supervise usage appropriately.

9. International Data Transfers
Your information is stored on servers in Japan (Google Cloud Platform asia-northeast1 region). However, some data processing may occur in other Google LLC data centers for Firebase service operations. Google LLC participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and implements appropriate data protection measures.
10. GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
Customers residing in the European Economic Area (EEA) have the following additional rights under GDPR:
- Right to restriction of processing: You may request restriction of personal data processing under certain circumstances.
- Right to object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to lodge a complaint: You may file a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country.
Legal bases for data processing are as follows:
- Contract performance: Processing necessary for service provision
- Consent: Notification delivery, ad personalization
- Legitimate interests: Service improvement, security assurance
11. CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
California residents have the following rights under CCPA:
- Right to know categories of personal information collected
- Right to request deletion of personal information
- Right to opt-out of personal information sales
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy due to legal changes, service changes, or other reasons. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
